Welcome
Welcome to The Verse of the Day. We are here to support and encourage your walk with the Lord Jesus. Today's issue is available for you to read. Please use our subscription center, RSS feed or Twitter feed to subscribe. This is a free resource so all may have access to the daily devotional message.
What makes our Verse of the Day unique is that each issue includes:
- A few verses of the Bible
- A devotional reflection thought to help focus on Jesus and His love for your life
- A name of God representing one of His attributes
- A guide to read through the entire Bible in one year
- A Bible trivia question
As well when completing e-mail registration you may specify your time of day sending preference and let us know if you use your computer or PDA / cell phone to access your e-mail. We have put the effort into designing this e-mail devotion so it matches your life style and devotion to the Lord Jesus.
We hope to provide you with a five minute time out with Jesus which will refresh you and sharpen your focus. Regardless of personal struggle anyone is welcome to subscribe. We are all in need of the grace and love of God and the fellowship of Christian believers which we offer through the blog available as part of each days edition.
Please note: If you are serving your country as a submariner, soldier or in other form of deployment don't feel obligated to provide your mailing address when subscribing. It is an honor to encourage you and your team in the Lord as you are deployed. Please have the various troops who used this resource to subscribe directly upon return to living with their families after completing terms overseas, at sea or other form of deployment.
Finally if you are a hospital chaplain please read this letter. If you received a fax or other promotional material from us this link is for you.

What's new with The Verse of the Day?
Web Site News:
Bible Concordance: A new section has been added to the web site: Bible Study Tools. The first tool I have prepared is a Bible concordance. A Bible concordance lists all the verses of the Bible each word is located in. To use this during your Bible study please visit: http://www.theverseoftheday.info/bible-concordance/ Shortly I will be expanding it to include a "Print View".
Bible Trivia: The new addition of Bible trivia to the daily devotion has been well received. I am continuing to work on this adding more questions. If you would like to contribute content for this please e-mail me.
The adult Bible Trivia may be accessed at: http://www.theverseoftheday.info/bible-trivia/
I have begun a Bible Trivia for Kid's section and need help with questions that are suitable for children aged 7 to 12. To access the questions for kids which have been prepared so far visit: http://www.theverseoftheday.info/bible-trivia-for-kids/
All of the questions may be used to create a handout for Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible Study, etc. To begin creating a handout read the directions at: http://www.theverseoftheday.info/bible-trivia-publish-handout/
If you would like to use the trivia questions in your church bulletin, newsletter or para church ministry please read our reproduction policy: http://www.theverseoftheday.info/bible-trivia-reproduction-policy/

Update From Ron Piggott
I have been using a wheelchair for my mobility since December 2009 after my failed reconstructive hip surgery last summer. The next step of the process I am going through in an attempt to restore my mobility and to ease the pain will be on September 21st when I will be having MRI's performed on both of my hip joints to assess the damages. Please continue to pray for the health care community as I talk to them about what is happening in the hopes of restoring my mobility.
