High Priest
All priests were descendants of Aaron when God created the priesthood and chosen by God to serve man in all things pertaining to God that he might offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins (see Hebrews 5:1) The High Priest was the only one who could go behind the curtain that separated the holy of Holies from the holy place in the temple. He could only do that one time per year and he had to follow strict guidelines while in there.
