Love In Review

Revivals often turn into man centered and man control environments. When an intense move of the Spirit of God presents itself is the Father heart of God prayed for and sought after?

The Kingdom of God doesn't need revival, it is always alive.

Faith that loses its love turns into religion, which operates on principles alone.

Getting caught up in religious practices involves falling from God's grace.

Upholding religion does not amount to anything, only agape love stands the test of test.

God is agape love. His love is pure.

Jesus only does what He sees the Father do. Understanding God the Father in deeper fashion involves reading the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.)

Intimacy produces life, not religion. In contract religion revolves living around sets of rules.

Eros is conditional based love. The three manifestations of eros love are summoned up in possess, acquire and control.

Many churches suffers from eros toxicity.

When eros is taught by the church it is an attempt to get things from God. In the long term eros leads to a hardened heart.

When teaching to a new believer is like eros (conditional) love faith isn't built on a pure sense of God's agape (unconditional) love, increasing the intensity of the eros love as it is passed onto the next generation. This is in contrast with the Father heart of God.

Where is the heart of the ministry at? Pleasing and seeking after the heart of God or following personal agendas?

Philos is friendship type love. Astorgas means without love and affection or could be expressed as love gone completely cold. Storgas love is the opposite of astorgas.

God plants His word like seeds into a farmers field. The Lord brings the harvest in His time. Religion is a man made agenda for results.

Doctrine defines God, but is limited in it's ability to describe the fullness of God.

Our culture does not see Christians as a whole living the way they should. In turn they have become sick of the church as the way they have known it. We need to be a witness to our culture without compromising the Good News (or Gospel) of Jesus Christ.

The church created the Hippie movement by 'beating up' people in the name of man made love and not accepting people with the unconditional love of God which leads to repentance.

God's glory is His name and His name is His character.

Your ultimate success is in your successor who mentored you by word and action. (Philippians 2:13)

Not many people will weep over the state of the church, but many are angry about it. What does this show about their love?

The more opportunities we face during our growth in the Lord the more temptations we are presented. It is important to keep your eyes on Jesus throughout your Christian life. There isn't a vaccine for sin or temptation.

Most people don't understand what agape love is, but only know eros. Are you able to share agape love with your world?

We need to instruct our sons and daughters in the ways of Jesus so they may mature and in turn teach others.

Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
