Genesis 49 & 50; Proverbs 1: With Jacob knowing the time of his death is near he blesses his sons and shortly after dies. Following Jacob's death Joseph buries him. Joseph's brothers were concerned that he would lash out at them for mistreating him from when they were young siblings. But Joseph, realizing it was God who brought him to Egypt, assured his brothers of his forgiveness. The time came for Joseph's life to come to an end. His legacy was a life of integrity before the Lord.
