The Verse of the Day for Sunday February 14th 2010
Bible Reading For Today:
Psalm 3
O Lord, how my adversaries have increased!
Many are rising up against me.
Many are saying of my soul,
"There is no deliverance for him in God."
But Thou, O Lord, art a shield about me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
I was crying to the Lord with my voice,
And He answered me from His holy mountain.
I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the Lord sustains me.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me round about.
Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God!
For Thou hast smitten all my enemies on the cheek;
Thou hast shattered the teeth of the wicked.
Salvation belongs to the Lord;
Thy blessing be upon Thy people!

One Year Bible Reading Guide For Today:
Mark 1 & 2; Psalms 15: Mark 1-2: Before Jesus began His earthly ministry John the baptist prepared the way. Following Jesus' baptism He is in the desert to be tempted and didn't give in to sin. After this victory Jesus appointed His disciples. In His earthly ministry Jesus drove out evil spirits and healed many people. We see His authority at work in forgiving and healing a paralyzed man. Jesus didn't stick with His own people, but also with sinners. Jesus is questioned about fasting and established that He is the Lord over the Sabbath. Psalms 15 challenges us to have a pure heart. It is the challenge to let go of bitterness and the hurts of life and to turn to Jesus. This is the solid foundation of life.
