The Verse of the Day for Saturday February 20th 2010
Bible Reading For Today:
Colossians 3:1-4
If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

One Year Bible Reading Guide For Today:
Mark 13 & 14; Psalms 21: Mark 13-14 Summary: It is Jesus desire that we are equipped to face life. Jesus teaches on the end times so our confidence may remain in God and not be shaken in events of the world. The plot for Jesus' murder is unfolding. Jesus is anointed for burial by a woman with a jar of alabaster perfume. The disciples share The Last Supper with Jesus. They have communion --- Sharing bread symbolically of Jesus body and wine for the blood Jesus will spill while being crucified. Following this special time with the disciples Jesus heads to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. God the Father strengthens Jesus to face His crucifixion. Judas Iscariot betrays Jesus and He is arrested. He is brought before the Sanhedrin for questioning. During this time Peter's faith slips and Peter disowns Jesus. Psalm 21 Summary: King David shares what it is like to be king while recognizing it is God who is the true source of hope and strength. This is a reminder for us to yearn for the things of God for each of our countries. It is also a reminder to be in prayer for the government which rules your land.
