One Year Bible Reading Guide For Today:

Mark 15 &16; Psalms 22: Mark 15 & 16 Summary: Jesus had prepared Himself in prayer with God the Father to face His crucifixion. In His trial with Pilate it is Jesus desire to remain true to His Heavenly Father. Even after His teaching there continued to be those who didn't put their trust in Him and mocked Him. Jesus is crucified. Our sin nailed Him to the cross. God's wrath is satisfied that if we are found in Him we will have eternal life. The centurion recognized this, as well as one of the robbers executed at the same time. With Joseph of Arimathea not in agreement with the decision to execute Jesus he asks for His body to bury it. Those who are close to Jesus witnessed His body being buried. As He promised Jesus rose again, conquering death, Hell and the grave. He is alive for all to decide their decision if to follow and spend eternity with Him. Psalms 22 Summary: We are giving a vivid description of Jesus crucifixion. Through the power of the Holy Spirit King David prophesies the death Jesus will face. As we compare this psalm to the gospel accounts of Jesus death we are given both more details of what transpired the day Jesus was executed and affirmation that Jesus is the Savior of the world with this prophecy fulfilled in His death. With the love of God displayed to all humanity we are asked this simple question: How will you respond to Jesus Christ?
