One Year Bible Reading Guide For Today:
Numbers 19, 20 & 21: The Lord is continuing to teach Moses and Aaron about the laws the Israelites must follow. As in the recent conversations God builds on the foundation He started. Today He is teaching Moses and Aaron about water cleansing a person. This builds on the foundation of being clean and unclean. The Lord uses Moses striking a rock to bring water out of the ground for use with the Israelite animals and people to drink. Again God uses Moses' humbleness to provide for the Israelite people, even though they continue to complain against him. The Lord directs the Israelites on how they should travel by the King of Edom denying them passage through their country. This leads the Israelites to Mount Hor where Aaron dies. The Lord is teaching the Israelites dependance on Him as their source of hope. As the people continue to grumble against Moses and God Himself Moses prayers are heard by the Lord and save the Israelites from the Lord's vengence.
