One Year Bible Reading Guide For Today:
Numbers 25, 26 & 27: The Lord's holiness and His desire that the Israelites be set apart are evident in God's judgement against the Israelites who engages in immorality with the Moabites. The Israelite people continually need Moses to lead them in the ways of God as they adjust to the standard of living God is establishing for them. Again the Lord calls on Moses to take a census of the Israelite adults who are able to be part of the army. With diligence this task is brought to completion. Moses has learned to lean on the Lord in such a way that he gravitates towards praying to the Lord for wisdom in addressing the challenges which come with leading the Israelites in the wilderness. The Lord is faithful to guide Moses one step at a time. Moses is heading up the mountain with Joshua to see the promised land the Israelites are about to enter into. But with the sin of this generation Moses won't enter into the promised land. The time of Moses death is very near.
