Bible Reading For Today:
1 Peter 3:8-9
To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.
- NASB

One Year Bible Reading Guide For Today:
Leviticus 1, 2 & 3: The Lord is providing Moses with directions for burnt offerings. This is the duty of the priests to carry out. As the Lord specified while meeting with Moses on Mount Sinai the priests are to be Aaron and his sons. God gave us these specific instructions on ritual sacrifices so that His holiness is honoured. The same applies for grain and fellowship offerings. It is the best of the best which is presented to the Lord as an offering. In doing this God is being set apart as holy in the hearts of His people. With Jesus being our sacrifice He has atoned for our sins. His blood has cleansed us so we are welcome in the presence of a Holy God. Jesus is our ultimate sacrifice. Because His blood is the only blood that God accepts to cover sins, animal sacrifices are no longer required and if done, will not be accepted.
