Question: Who was the second passerby who saw the wounded man in the parable of the Good Samaritan and passed by on the other side?
- A Samaritan
- A Priest
- A Levite
- A Pharisee
A Levite was an assistant to the priest in the context of this parable. This is the second example Jesus provides uses in this parable of a religious leader not having shown God's love to the dying man. A key lesson we may learn was quoted by Jesus in Luke 10:27 that we should love our neighbor as ourself. In doing this we please the Lord. This isn't easy in our fast paced society. Jesus challenges us to look beyond past hurts to reach out and offer support for others who we recognize are struggling.
Based on Luke 10:25-37
