Ministry News And Updates

Hi Everyone

I've continued to plug away at setting up our new server. I've been very pleased with progress. Where I am at now is the point of re-starting the e-mail list. I've ran into a bit of a snag:

A few months ago I received an update that the company I use for sending our e-mails was decommissioning the server our account is on and the replacement would include updated software. I've been corresponding with the company owner this week to get an update and deciding on our path forward. Essentially if I was disrupting your e-mail delivery I only want to do it once.

I've found out the computer program I wrote to queue and send "The Verse of the Day" e-mails won't be compatible with the new server our account is moving onto. I've been thinking about how to proceed and what is useful for our needs. I've thought how to re-design the e-mail queue program I created so it will be more responsive in queuing and sending The Verse of the Day e-mail subscriptions and others in the future. An example of what I now envision will allow for growth in our the subscribers.

I am presently waiting to hear back from the company owner with some questions I need answered. I expect to hear back at the start of next week (~November 19th - 20th 2018)). Once I get this answer I will have 1 of 2 paths. I will either commence programming our new e-mail queue or start researching and subscribe to a new service for sending and receiving our e-mails.

I am going to ask you to bare with me for a few more days while I sort this out. I know I talked about sending the devotional e-mails manually. I became preoccupied with what our future will be. On Monday November 19th 2018 I will do the programming necessary so I can start sending this out manually. I will also remind you that the current version of The Verse of the Day is always found here:

If anyone has questions please take the time to ask. The last thing I want to do is upset each of you.
